Something beautiful is brewing in 2010. Not quite sure what it is, but I think the movies we watch, the books we read and the CDs we buy are just a few of the things that shape how we view the world. I haven’t read Blue Like Jazz yet from Donald Miller, but it’s on my list. I did just finish A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Miller. It completely changed the way I see life and how we are supposed to live it…we are our own writers of our own stories and we need to be the take charge author. Rather than avoiding life, we need to live it out, crafting a story that anyone would want to read. Highly recommend this book.
Oh, and I’m a huge New Moon fan as well
Kimberly … Thanks for your comment! Your high recommendation for A Million Miles in a Thousand Years has put it on my “to read” list. As for New Moon, checked that box (and all the other ones) already. A page turner for sure, but it is also sad to think that a whole generation of girls uses Bella and Edward’s relationship as a litmus test for a quality dating relationship. There are so many unhealthy aspects to they way they relate to each other, and I am afraid a lot of girls read it without a critical eye.
I’ve had Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind in my computer for a long long time, but for some reason never really wanted to watch it…. Seeing it on your list made me want to
I’ll definitely find sometime this week to watch it and will let you know.
